Why Mayo
Mayo Aviation’s roots begin in the early 1960s when founders Gwen and Bill Mayo II moved to Colorado from Minnesota. In 1978, they switched their business from automobile filling stations to aviation founding Mayo Aviation and starting charter service. Mayo expanded to serve the Rocky Mountain West and added aircraft management and maintenance, managing and operating large and small jets. Bill Mayo III continues the family legacy in the company’s sixth decade.

Mayo Aviation enjoys a long-standing relationship with Flight for Life Colorado, the nation’s first fixed-wing air ambulance service and one of the most accomplished critical care transport programs in the country, serving critical patients in the Rocky Mountain West for more than 40 years.

Priester family of companies, a network of private aviation service providers, that has operated independently under multigenerational family leadership for more than 75 years.
